Introduce

IntroduceFlap disc is one kind of flexible grinding disc, it is comprised of cover and abrasive cloth backing, the both parts are bonded with adhesive.

● The cover of flap disc usually includes net cover, plastic cover, iron cover and so on, the size of cover is divided into 75mm,90mm and others.

● The abrasive cloth backing mostly is X-wt cloth, sometimes special heavy duty grinding maybe use Y-wt cloth,The flap disc requires the strictly synchronism of grain and cloth during grinding, so the abrasive cloth backing is very important when you choose.

● The grains include aluminium oxide, calcine oxide, zirconium oxide, ceramic oxide and some mixed grain.

● The aluminium oxide and the calcine oxide are used to grind the rust, wood, deburring, weld and seam,

● The zirconium oxide and ceramic are used to grind the stainless steel, titanium&nickle alloy an.d some other special metals

● The size of flap disc usually include 4''(100x16mm), 4.5''(115x22mm),5''(125x22mm), 6''(150x22mm),7''(180x22mm) and other size as you want.

Application

● Flexible backing , high grinding efficiency, good anti-fluctuation

● Perfect synchronism of grain and cloth,

● Well disperse heat, avoid burning the workpieces.

● Suitable to install on the electrical and pneumatic tools, easy to use and change

Ceramic flap discs are an innovative and high-performance abrasive tool used in a wide range of industrial applications. These discs are designed with multiple overlapping flaps, each containing ceramic abrasive grains that deliver exceptional cutting power and durability.

The ceramic abrasive grains used in these flap discs are engineered to be extremely hard and wear-resistant, making them ideal for tough grinding and stock removal tasks. They provide aggressive cutting action and maintain their sharpness for extended periods, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced downtime.

One of the key advantages of ceramic flap discs is their ability to perform well on hard-to-grind materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and superalloys. The ceramic abrasive grains excel in applications where traditional abrasives may struggle, allowing operators to achieve superior results in challenging grinding and finishing tasks.

In addition to their outstanding cutting performance, ceramic flap discs also offer excellent heat resistance properties. This makes them suitable for use on high-temperature metals without compromising their cutting efficiency or lifespan. The discs remain cool during operation, reducing the risk of overheating the workpiece and ensuring consistent performance even in demanding applications.

Furthermore, ceramic flap discs are known for their long lifespan, which translates into cost savings for users. The exceptionally durable ceramic abrasive grains maintain their cutting edge even under heavy use, minimizing the need for frequent disc replacements. This not only reduces material costs but also enhances productivity by reducing downtime spent on changing discs.

Ceramic flap discs are also favored for their smooth and controlled grinding action. The overlapping flaps conform to the workpiece contours, resulting in improved surface finish and reduced gouging or scratching. This ensures precise and consistent results, making these discs highly suitable for applications that require fine finishing, deburring, or blending.

Moreover, ceramic flap discs are designed for operator comfort and safety. They produce minimal vibration and noise compared to other abrasive tools, which reduces operator fatigue and improves overall working conditions. Additionally, these discs generate less dust and debris during operation, contributing to a cleaner and healthier work environment.

In summary, ceramic flap discs are a superior choice for industrial grinding and finishing operations. With their exceptional cutting power, heat resistance, durability, and versatility on various materials, they bring efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness to a wide range of applications in industries such as metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace, and more.
